11th November 2008 – DBAM Systems, a global supplier of WAN Optimisation and Application Acceleration products has appointed Paris Arey of Adtran, Inc today as a non-executive director to the board. He brings an immense wealth of experience to the company with over 27 years of experience in sales, channel marketing, and operations in the telecommunications equipment and information technology markets. Previous to Adtran, Mr Arey held senior positions with Cisco Systems, inc.
Arey first joined Cisco in 1996 he held the role of senior positions including head of the US Channel Sales team. In this role he was responsible for establishing worldwide strategies that are globally consistent and mutually beneficial for Cisco and channel partners.
During that time he held a number of key executive positions in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Arey is now Vice President of International Sales at Adtran – a US company supplying infrastructure products to service providers around the world - and has been instrumental in the strategic development of the company as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the international sales organization.
