Prizes for the ‘best' text message

For the best messages AQA (
www.aqa.63336.com) is giving away five versions of its excellent book, Brilliant Answers. Featuring the most brilliant answers on subjects ranging from Russell Brand to Dangermouse, from holy handgrenades to the world's most bizarre experiments, Brilliant Answers is an unputdownable compendium of essential and not-so-essential facts and opinions for everyday life in the UK.
The competition is open to anyone and is simple to enter. To enter, just email the text to

- The best type of biscuits to make a mattress from would be fig rolls or strawberry Newtons. They would be soft, but still provide some back support.

- Dundee is the only British football club that has no letters from the word ‘football' in its name. Founded in 1893, Dundee play at Dens Park.
- The funniest word in the English language is fartlek (an athletic training regime); other funny words include furphy, pratfall, parp and firkin.
- The smiley face, first used by Harvey Ball, is yellow because the logo was influenced by Kolobok, a yellow spherical being in an East Slavic fairy tale.

The blog was set up to look at the mobile applications and services that appeal to the masses and to remind the industry, especially the operators, that there is still money to be made from those services.
