Successful Implementation by Large German Utility Company
 
Hoesbach/Germany, May 19, 2009 – ASC (www.asctelecom.com), a leading global provider of innovative solutions to record, analyze and evaluate communications, today announced it will exhibit its new integrated recording solution for EADS TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) at the TETRA World Congress 2009, at the International Congress Center in Munich, Germany, on May 26-29, 2009, at booth C902.

The event unites TETRA users, manufacturers, network operators, application developers and system integrators from around the world. This year, over 2,500 participants are expected to attend over 150 speeches and visit over 100 exhibits.

TETRA, an interoperability standard for professional mobile radio communications, was delineated by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to allow interaction among mobile equipment from multiple vendors. Its flexible digital addressing helps various organizations communicate during emergency situations.
 
ASC will demonstrate its new recording solutions for EADS TETRA, which is now in use by a large utility company in Bonn, the former capital of Germany.  ASC’s MARATHON EVOLUTION recording system is connected to the EADS TETRA switch and captures all internal communications between the dispatch station and field staff.

ASC’s MARATHON EVOLUTION is capable to record group calls and individual calls as well as short data services (SDS) within a TETRA network. Up to 120 calls can be recorded simultaneously while maintaining secure communications with the dispatcher. The system provides fail-safe operation as well as redundancy through a mirrored hard disk. ID and time stamps are tagged to each recording to facilitate analysis of incidents and provide protection from liability.
