GUILDFORD, UK - October 29 2007 – Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, has named Ross White as the new Marketing Director for the UK, Ireland and South Africa. Based at Avaya’s UK offices in Guildford, White will take up his new position with immediate effect, heading a team of 15, reporting to Martyn Lambert, Marketing Vice President for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA).
White will be responsible for business development and strategic planning to further build Avaya’s growth across the regions. His key objective is to push marketing at Avaya to a new level through the use of integrated campaigns with a particular focus on vertical markets. His remit will include developing the brand, marketing strategy, extending customer loyalty, reviewing channels to market and new business strategies. In his new role, Ross will also oversee a dedicated telemarketing team.

Since joining Avaya in 2004, White has held a number of positions within the company, most recently as Alliance Partner Marketing Manager for EMEA. White has over 15 years of experience in IT and Telecommunications marketing and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
