Brits in Search for the Feel-Good Factor Rally Round The Great British Breast
6 February 2009, London – British Breasts have become an unexpected high-street hit in the Credit Crunch as today new research reveals that the falling pound is behind the huge 30% lift in sales in Britain year on year. Women looking to boost their assets on
RevaHealth.com, the moneysupermarket.com for
cosmetic surgery, are finding British plastic surgeons more competitive than surgeons in Spain, Turkey and even Poland for the first time. So while the market may be sagging on the continent, it’s perking up nicely at home.
According to
RevaHealth.com, which houses a range of information including services and prices from clinics all over the world to help people find the right provider for them, the average cost of a traditional ‘boob job’ in Poland is now around £3,161 and in the UK it is £3,537. When accommodation and travel is added on it makes more sense to go British. Just two years ago Polish Breasts worked out cheaper, costing just 60% of a home grown operation at £2,122.

GOING UP
Celebrities who have proudly bought British include:
- Footballer’s favourite Danielle Lloyd blossomed from a B cup to a 32F
- Dancing on Ice star Melinda Messenger went up to a 32DD to help her score a perfect 6
- I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Page 3 star Nicola McLean leapt from a C cup to a 32GG
Caelen King, CEO from RevaHealth.com explains: “Sales are going through the roof and our breast index clearly reveals the reason - savvy British consumers are rallying around their local high street cosmetic surgeon. Silicon spending could help to prop up the high street in the recession.”
BUYING BRITISH
Page 3 glamour model Kim Ingram, aged 20, from Colchester, who now proudly sports a 32DD cleavage, explains; “I feel so good for going with true British Breasts! I searched high and low to find the right surgeon but after doing all the sums it made sense to support my country. I’ve got the boobs I wanted and they are as British as Winston Churchill.”
UK Surgeons are set for a D-Cup sized bonus as they defy the recession. Dr Alexandrides, a Harley Street plastic surgeon, comments “Football may not be coming home any time soon but the British breast certainly is and we’re proud to offer true British made breasts with a lifetime guarantee! As well as the weakness in the pound, the economic crisis is making it even more important that women feel good about themselves. A confidence boosting breast uplift can help and we’ve never been busier meeting the demand.”
NOT FOR EVERYONE
Going up in the world is not for everyone, however. Celebrity Big Brother winner Ulrika Jonsson has admitted she was considering a breast lift or reduction after having four children. “I have been thinking about it for a number of years, not just in the last couple of weeks. I’ve been endowed with a rather large bosom. Mine are literally are in the road. If I take my bra off - they are in the road!” she explained on the show. Kerry Katona also recently took the weight off her back with a reduction from a GG cup to a more manageable DD.
Three-quarters of us are keen to change some part of ourselves, according to research by RevaHealth.com, but for Women breasts are up front with 40% wanting to change part of their body, including their breasts.
