10 October 2012 – This year sees six HGI representatives speak at three separate sessions during Broadband World Forum (BBWF) in Amsterdam, including at a special seminar dedicated to highlighting HGI’s new service initiatives for the digital home.

The HGI seminar will be taking place in Content Hub One and will last for an hour and half covering new operator services, new services in home security and home energy management, elements of service architecture and testing and diagnostics requirements for Home Gateways. The Content Hub takes place on day two of the conference, October 17, at 10.00am.

“Our work in developing the HGI Smart Home Task Force and continuing work in the Digital Home will be centre stage this year at Broadband World Forum. With HGI at the forefront of specifying the requirements and architecture for Smart Home services, we are in a unique position to share information about the latest home technology advances helping to drive development and progress within the industry,” he said.

Mr Giacomello will be joined by fellow HGI speakers Franz Kroepfl (Telekom Austria), Harm Mulder, (KPN), Dave Thorne, (BT), and Adrian Thurlow, (also BT). The seminar will be moderated by Duncan Bees, Chief Technology Officer for HGI.

Alongside the Content Hub, HGI’s Duncan Bees will be giving a talk on day 3, October 18 at 2.50pm during the Energy Summit Panel on Home Energy Management and Energy Efficiency.
