C D Tam to join Liquavista’s Board of Directors
« Posted: October 24, 2007, 07:08:36 PM »

First appointment builds East-West Bridge

Cambridge,UK, 24th October 2007 - Liquavista, the company developing See EverythingÔ mobile multi-media displays, today announced that Senior Semiconductor industry executive, former President of Motorola ASIA PACIFIC/JAPAN region and later  founding CEO of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, C D Tam MBE, JP, has agreed to join its Board of Directors

“We are delighted to be able to attract someone of Mr Tam’s calibre to the Board of Liquavista” said Mark Gostick, CEO.  “It reinforces to our team what an exciting and rapidly moving business we are building, and dramatically expands our ability to develop partnerships at the highest level throughout Asia.”

Despite being little more than 12 months old, Liquavista is rapidly accelerating toward the mobile devices market. Having shown a prototype watch product at the SID show in June 2007, the company is bringing its new display technology to a wide variety of customer applications through a partnership based approach to manufacturing and development.

“The core philosophy guiding Liquavista’s development is that to succeed, we need to develop a serious and substantial presence and partnership network in Asia quickly, because this is the home of the flat panel display business and many of its customers. “ Gostick added.

“Having made that decision, we identified Hong Kong as our best destination and have had a presence here since January of this year and are now building our technology base in the region. We want to use the best of East and West to ensure our success and recognised in CD the right experiences and attitude to help guide us in this crucial phase.” He concluded.

“The entrepreneurial spirit of Liquavista, its commitment to developing East meets West relationships and the foundation of its office in Hong Kong, shows they have real strategic goals to developing their business” commented  CD Tam “Plus, I could not resist the draw of Liquavista’s revolutionary technology which is set to change the way we view displays and offer such benefits as outdoor viewability– I can quickly see how this technology can take significant share in the existing LCD marketplace –maybe as much as 50%” he added, “With such inspirational drive -  I felt compelled to work with them to help them achieve it!”

”Longer term, I believe Liquavista is the only technology I know of which has the potential to enable fully digital display systems, from source creation, through transmission to end-user viewing. This will enable a revolution, not only in display quality, but also the infrastructure and costs associated with the entire media network.” He added.
