Calnex Booms In Asia Pacific
Doubles its Sales, Doubles its Workforce.
Edinburgh, UK - 13 June 2012 Calnex Solutions, a leader in Test & Measurement for Mobile Backhaul announced today that its business in the Asia Pacific region more than doubled in the last year. Calnex, which is due to exhibit at next week’s giant CommunicAsia exhibition and conference in Singapore (in the UK Pavilion, Booth BQ3-10), has also doubled the size of its team in Asia Pacific largely because network operators in Asia Pacific have led the way in the evolution to IP-based Mobile backhaul networks. Calnex has opened new offices in Beijing and Bangalore in the last year alone.
Testing is a critical part of the process as new technologies and networks need to be rigorously examined for performance and robustness. Calnex has also provided its expertise and services to Network Operators and to Managed Network Services companies for synchronisation of Mobile networks. Calnex has worked closely with major Asia Pacific operators such as China Mobile, China Unicom, Chunghwa Telecom, Optus and NTT as well as the world’s biggest Systems Suppliers like Ericsson, Huawei, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, ZTE and Nokia Siemens Networks.
“Asia has become a tremendously exciting part of the global market for Calnex and we are looking to build on our successes with even greater market penetration, support and more jobs and local presence,” said Calnex Founder and CEO Tommy Cook.
“CommunicAsia is actually providing a great showcase and platform for us and we are looking to meet existing customers as well as new prospects during the event”.
As operators look to move to LTE networks with Small Cells, it will become even more important for Operators and System Integrators to test the technologies supported by Calnex products. These include 1588v2 Precision Timing Protocol, Network Timing Protocol (NTP) and Synchronous Ethernet (Sync-E) for accurate sync of mobile basestations. They also include Ethernet-OAM and MPLS-TP OAM for Operations Administration & Maintenance of these networks.
