17 October 2012 — Leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, Cambium Networks today launched the Canopy PMP 450 into the UK and Irish markets, on the opening day of IP Expo in London. The new point-to-multipoint (PMP) fixed wireless broadband access solution is designed to deliver the capacity and performance service providers and private network operators require to meet today’s demanding and growing need for bandwidth.
The PMP 450 utilises a combination of high throughput, low latency and GPS synchronisation that enables service providers to rapidly deploy new services and increase revenue and profitability while realising a much faster return on their investment. With the PMP 450 4G platform, service providers can also meet the demands of enterprise customers who need both high uplink and downlink connectivity (symmetrical service) to support cloud computing and video conferencing.
Graham Bolton, Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland at Cambium Networks, says: “Service providers in the UK and Ireland want a cost-effective way to rapidly deploy solutions to support, and expand network connectivity. The PMP 450 is truly transformative and gives providers the confidence and means to build networks that will meet the communication needs and demands of today’s users.”
Cambium is also using IP Expo to highlight the benefits of its ConnectedPartner Program, which is designed to help potential partners grow with the successful delivery and deployment of Cambium’s products to end customers. The Program is targeted at service providers, governments, enterprises, and small-medium businesses, and helps position partners for business growth through access to fixed wireless broadband solutions, helping drive sales and movement into emerging wireless markets.
Whilst at the event, Mr Bolton will give a presentation entitled “Fixed Wireless Access Gets to the Parts that Other Technologies Cannot Reach” in the Wireless and Campus Networks Theatre.
