PlayPhone in European Footie Forecast Launch

PlayPhone is to launch Footie Forecast, a new mobile football score prediction service set to become the must-have mobile accessory for any self respecting football fan.

The service, fronted by footballing great Jimmy Greaves in the UK will also launch across Europe in Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Launching in August in time for the new football season, the predictor service is derived from match history allowing for as close to reality predictor as is possible.

Those at the sign up to the service will receive one football related mobile game to download each week including Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

Football related ringtones such as songs and chants will be available to download as well as graphics featuring team’s star players and club crests allowing users to personalise their service.

The service will also have a user generated content section that will allow picture uploading and rating, giving users easy access to a community of like minded football fans. There they can chat to one another through a ‘Footie Chat’ service a forum for discussion of all things football from favourite players and latest results, to the very latest transfer news.

An RSS news feed “Footie News” will complete the service offering regularly updated football news keeping fans up-to-date with the latest goings on in the world of football. The service will cost £3 per week and will be marketed via website, WAP, print and other promotional material suitable for venues showing football on TV.
