Growing demand for voice security presents new channel opportunity
4 March 2009 – Cellcrypt, the leading supplier of secure voice solutions, has appointed Zafirotech as a channel partner in South America. Ecuador-based Zafirotech will be offering Cellcrypt’s advanced range of mobile and fixed line voice security solutions in Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
CellcryptIn contrast to traditional voice encryption systems that provide poor voice quality and usability, Cellcrypt has developed a new generation of end-to-end voice security solutions for commercially available PBX systems and mobile handsets. Based on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, Cellcrypt solutions deliver unparalleled voice quality with low latency, strong security and global coverage never before experienced.
Cellcrypt systems are already in use with a number of corporations within South America and with its experience in the mobile and security markets, Zafirotech sees a major opportunity for accelerating growth in this new area. “The risk of telephone calls being intercepted has long been recognized but until now voice security has only been used by small numbers of people in specialist organizations,” says Javier Lizarzaburu, Gerente General at Zafirotech. “Cellcrypt now enables businesses and governments to protect their sensitive voice information. This can range from public service activities to contract negotiations and high level business collaboration. Our customers are already showing great interest Cellcrypt’s solutions.”
Cellcrypt Mobile is an easy-to-use, software solution that runs on standard mobile phones and uses secure VoIP calls across 3G, WiFi, and GPRS networks. The software works on Nokia Smartphones and Window Mobile devices – and support for other platforms will soon be available.
In addition, the Cellcrypt PBX IAB is a portable field deployable land line solution that makes it possible to rapidly establish a totally private, secure fixed and mobile communications telephone network in the field, linking any number of commercial mobile devices and fixed line phones world-wide. All that is needed is a fixed or mobile internet connection.
"We are delighted to welcome Zafirotech as a partner – a company ideally placed, with the right experience and customer base to support Cellcrypt’s growth in the South American market,” said Simon Bransfield-Garth, Cellcrypt’s chief executive. “Much attention is paid to protecting data but a huge amount of sensitive information goes unprotected during conversations held over public telephone networks. The ability to deliver secure voice communications using standard mobile phones with high call quality puts Cellcrypt at the forefront of this growing market.”
