Owner Guenther Mueller resigned from ASC’s Executive Board on June 30, 2012 after 33 years as CEO.
New Executive Board members Dr. Frank Schaffrath and Marco Mueller have been appointed effective July 1, 2012.
Workforce optimization solutions for cloud computing will further strengthen ASC’s position as market leader.
Hoesbach, Germany, July 19, 2012 – Guenther Mueller, who built up and shaped the ASC group for more than 33 years, resigned from its Executive Board as of June 30, 2012. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, he will continue in an advisory role.
Since July 1, 2012, ASC has been managed by two Executive Board members with equal rights: Dr. Frank Schaffrath and Marco Mueller. Dr Schaffrath, new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Marco Mueller, son of Guenther Mueller and new Chief Operating Officer (COO), will work to position ASC as a leading European provider of workforce optimization solutions and an active participant in the booming market for cloud computing.
The new management will lead a financially sound company without any outstanding bank loans and a self-sustaining cash flow to finance major innovations. ASC achieves more than 80 percent of its revenues with trend-setting software solutions to record, analyze and evaluate multimedia-based communications. With almost 250 employees, the company has become a global player through subsidiaries and sales offices in France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Since the middle of 2010, ASC has invested more than 20 million EUR (25 million U.S. dollars) to develop its new, pioneering “neo” product line, to be introduced in spring 2013. The portfolio will significantly impact the market for workforce optimization solutions and utilize fast-growing cloud computing to let customers obtain software as a service (SaaS). SaaS meets today’s business requirements to obtain software with maximum flexibility, without any risk or pre-investment, and always state-of-the-art.
The new Executive Board members
After graduating with a degree in industrial engineering and management, and receiving a PhD, Frank Schaffrath specialized in equity strategy, investment management and corporate finance for the last 15 years. He started his career in management consulting for midsize companies and developed corporate and sales strategies. More recently, Frank Schaffrath served as a Managing Director in a leading German corporate finance boutique. Dr. Frank Schaffrath is 46 years old, married and has three kids.
As the son of ASC’s owner, Marco Mueller learned ASC’s corporate culture and internal business processes, and gained in-depth market knowledge. After his high school exam and education as a tax clerk, he earned a degree in business administration. Since April 2006, Marco Mueller ran several sales departments and focused on the build-up of new ASC business partners. From May 2011 to April 2012, he managed ASC’s branch office in Great Britain. Subsequently, he implemented ASC´s internationalization strategy and supervised the sales activities in all of ASC’s subsidiaries. Marco Mueller is 37 years old and has one daughter.
