Amazon’s Director of Merchant Services to advise about selling on its platform at e-commerce conference

London, UK - 3rd May 2012 - ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce software provider that helps retailers sell more across online channels, today announced that Amazon’s Director of Merchant Services, Chris Poad, is to deliver a keynote presentation at Catalyst Europe 2012. Amazon joins an impressive line-up of speakers for this year’s Catalyst Europe, including Facebook, eBay, LivingSocial, Ann Summers, Ukash and Criteo.

Chris Poad leads the team at Amazon that focuses on helping third-party merchants to grow their businesses on the Amazon platform through a diverse suite of programmes: Selling on Amazon, Fulfilment by Amazon, Amazon Webstore, Checkout by Amazon, and Amazon’s enterprise relationships. Chris was previously a category director within Amazon’s retail organisation.

“We are excited to be announcing Amazon as a keynote speaker at this year’s event,” commented Seamus Whittingham, ChannelAdvisor’s managing director for EMEA. “With Amazon growing at three times the rate of e-commerce as a whole, many of our customers are looking for ways to get a slice of the action. Chris’s presentation will be really beneficial for retailers who want to take their Amazon sales to the next level.”

This year’s Catalyst conference will be held on 28th-29th May 2012 at the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in London, and will host the industry’s boldest and most-respected e-commerce leaders and companies.

NewCommerce will be the focus of this year’s Catalyst Europe. NewCommerce will focus on emerging trends such as social media platforms, cross-border trade, widespread tablet adoption, new smartphone capabilities and more, all of which create an ‘anytime, anywhere’ level of accessibility for shoppers. During the conference, retailers will have the opportunity to network with the VIPs of the e-commerce industry, and walk away with practical tactics to build a presence on existing commerce channels and break onto new channels for e-commerce growth.

Visit the Catalyst Europe website to find out further information about the agenda and sponsoring this year’s event.
