Company optimises sales and service processes through use of Cisco collaboration technologies
Teltow, Germany, 08 May 2012 – NextiraOne was one of only two European partners to be named as “Collaboration Innovator” at the Cisco Partner Summit in San Diego last week. Only six organisations in the world have so far achieved this status and NextiraOne is pleased to have been admitted to this elite group of companies. Cisco recognises partners who have aligned and future-proofed their business processes and company culture with the help of mobile, virtual and audiovisual collaboration tools.
Reducing Costs, Improving Work-life Balance, Increasing Productivity
The implementation of the Cisco TelePresence collaboration solution has enabled NextiraOne to demonstrate a substantial Return on Investment, largely due to increased employee efficiency and a reduction in the need for business travel. "Preliminary estimates since the introduction of the new solution show a saving of €40,000 per quarter on time and travel costs," says Dr. Frank Nobbe, Partner Alliance Manager at NextiraOne. "Reducing travelling time is also an important element of an improved work-life balance."
NextiraOne also expects to see the pilot project delivering significant benefits in improving communication and the sharing and transfer of knowledge. “We are expecting a 30 percent increase in the productivity of our service experts through the use of Cisco Quad and Cisco Cius, which are associated with specific service applications to support business processes," said Siegfried Schallenmüller, Services Director at NextiraOne Germany.
Innovative Services Processes Using Quad and the Cisco Cius Business Tablet
NextiraOne has launched a pilot programme to improve the quality of service to the customer. The programme is based on Cisco Quad as the enterprise collaboration platform together with the Cisco Cius business tablet. The new system will provide field service engineers with continuous access to both audio and video information as well as to a rich knowledge base and associated tools - all via the Cisco Cius business tablet. "Our solution will significantly reduce the time an engineer spends searching for information and with calls to the central office to resolve service issues," added Herr Schallenmüller. "At the same time it will improve cooperation between the experts in the service centre and the engineers who are on site with the customer.”
Economic Success in Focus
The Cisco solution is designed to help the service engineers to take a more strategic and proactive role, since they are now able to keep in continuous contact with the colleagues they need to work with to successfully achieve their tasks. "Thanks to the ability to have direct access to expert knowledge our on-site engineers will be able to do an even better job,” commented Mr. Schallenmüller. "While they are dealing with the customer’s issues they are able to demonstrate how they are using this highly developed technology and show the way we are able to find innovative solutions to business challenges."
In this way NextiraOne is providing a vivid, real-life example of how technology can contribute to economic success. "Customers today are not concerned about specific technology features - they are more interested in seeing how a solution can optimise their business processes," says Mr Schallenmüller. Technology is not being used to show off great devices, but to ensure that processes run as smoothly as possible: “Our Cisco solution demonstrates to our customers a real-life application with measurable business benefits.”
