Cloud Computing forces radical rethink for developers
« Posted: February 11, 2010, 10:43:25 PM »

(London, 11 February 2010) Cloud Computing and its profound impact on European ISVs and the software development community will be a major focus at the third European ISV Convention, run by IT Europa and being held at The Tower Hotel, London on 25th February 2010.

“ISVs and Software Developers have been reeling over the last few years adapting to SOA methodologies of product development and SaaS delivery and business models,” said John Chapman, Content Director of the European ISV Convention 2010. “However, now as they start to absorb the implications of Cloud Computing they are rapidly revisiting their business strategy and radically rethinking their go to market plans.”

At the European ISV Convention 2010 major organisations involved in Cloud Computing like IBM, Microsoft, Flexera, Ness Technologies, Azlan, Mitel, Cisco, Motorola and the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) will be giving their views on how this marketplace will evolve, debate these issues with delegates and other sponsors and meet in boardroom and 1:1 style sessions.

“ISVs and Software Developers have become aware that Cloud Computing rewrites the rules on how business applications will be delivered to enterprises and small to medium size organisations,” John Chapman continued. “It enables the development of new business process and mobility applications that will revolutionise the way organisations run their operations. The implications for developers is that they will need new business partners to help them understand these new issues, provide some of the technologies and skills as well as open up new markets and business opportunities.”

The European ISV Convention 2010 features a range of sponsors at the leading edge of this revolution who will be sharing their ideas and debating these issues with delegates during conference, boardroom and networking sessions.

There are still delegate places available for ISVs and software developers who wish to attend the European ISV Convention 2010. Participation is free of charge to qualifying delegates. Registrations can be made at www.isvconvention.com
