London UK, 15 May 2012 – TradeDoubler, the performance marketing and technology company, has been appointed to manage and expand the affiliate marketing programme for premium holiday firm, Club Med. This strategic appointment comes at a time when luxury holiday brands are facing growing competition from online travel firms and continued pressure from global economic uncertainty.

TradeDoubler has extensive experience in running vibrant and successful affiliate marketing programmes for the travel sector, offering unrivalled access to around 70 per cent of the European e-commerce audience through its network of more than 140,000 active online publishers.

A recent study concluded that over the next few years, ongoing worldwide political and economic instability will continue to impact a recovering premium holiday sector, demanding robust partnerships between suppliers and their marketing partners. The importance of digital marketing is expected to remain a major influence on the planning and booking of luxury holidays.

“We are very excited about this new partnership with TradeDoubler,” said Niamh Downey, online marketing manager, Club Med. “As a leading provider of premium, all-inclusive holidays at more than 80 exclusive resorts around the world, we need a partner who shares our brand values and can help us to reach our broad but discerning customer base with a targeted portfolio of opportunities. We chose TradeDoubler because it offers a high quality publisher network with a commitment to brand protection, combined with a passion for innovation in emerging areas such as mobile and social affiliate marketing.”

“The luxury travel industry is poised for renewed growth and we are thrilled to be joining Club Med for that journey,” said Rob Wilson, market unit leader, North West, TradeDoubler. “Our approach centres on developing flexible, customised solutions designed around individual client objectives, providing a platform for optimum performance, reliability and mutual trust. We are in this for the long haul, and we are delighted that Club Med also chose us because of our commitment to marketing and business innovation with our affiliate/e-commerce incubation scheme, The Zoo Project.”
