Cordys and NCCW introduce BPMS in the Cloud to housing corporations
« Posted: January 11, 2010, 10:50:31 PM »

ICT services provider NCCW, market leader in the housing corporations sector, has signed an strategic contract with Cordys, the leading supplier of software for business process innovation. Under the terms of the contract Cordys and NCCW are jointly building an innovative cloud computing platform with which housing corporations can streamline and improve their business processes.

The Cordys Business Operations Platform offers a unique combination of BPMS (Business Process Management Software) and Cloud technology allowing organizations to respond faster to changes in the market or in legislation. The application of BPMS combined with cloud based computing ensures greater flexibility and lower costs.

The relationship between Cordys and NCCW has developed as a direct result of market requirements as housing corporations are increasingly expected to work within a highly regulated, process-driven, management framework. As market leader, NCCW has the experience and knowledge to configure Cordys technology into the ideal process-driven solution for housing corporations.

Business Process Modeling lies at the core of a new property platform, centered on the housing corporations business processes and not the applications they run on. For each process, the platform itself is searched for relevant and pertinent information. In so doing it creates a single platform in which all processes can be completed from several diverse systems, all within a single user interface.

The platform’s open characteristics offer the possibility to integrate the rapidly growing number of web services offered via the cloud. The existing BIS NOA and FIRST NO primary systems will also be made available in the real estate platform. The first clients are expected to start working with the first components of the new estate platform in 2010.

Wibo Pollmann, Managing Director of NCCW comments: “The  days that ICT providers thought that you could pack everything into a single system have gone. The fact that corporations often use multiple applications in addition to their primary system also illustrates this. Cordys is one of the frontrunners in the field of BPM software combined with cloud computing, and therefore the right partner for NCCW. This choice is also entirely in line with a recent report by Forrester in which Cordys is mentioned as a leader in the field of Cloud orchestration."

Jan Baan, CEO of Cordys, adds: “NCCW has more than proved itself as the process computerization firm for housing corporations. With the decision in favor of the Cordys Business Operations Platform, NCCW will bring about a revolution in the field of automation in this sector. From now on, the focus will no longer be on applications but genuinely on the client’s processes. The corporations will be able to then focus on their core business, which is to deliver business process innovation around building, letting and managing properties. It gives great satisfaction to see how innovative technology can offer such an important contribution to society.”
