Company marks growth and expansion in region, highlights client success stories from Virgin Media, Air Liquide and more at its annual European client conference

LONDON, 17 October, 2012 - Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ:CSOD), a global leader in cloud-based talent management software solutions, is showcasing the company’s European momentum this week at the company’s 2012 EMEA Convergence client conference, 16-17 October at the Park Plaza Riverbank hotel in London. In the first half of 2012, Cornerstone’s international gross revenue increased by approximately 60 percent year over year, driven largely by an expanded presence across Europe and the addition of new European clients such as global luxury brand Bulgari S.p.A., liqueur and spirits producer Rémy Cointreau Group, Spanish supermarket chain Eroski, and metal cutting machining manufacturer Seco Group.

“Despite the macroeconomic conditions in Europe, more organisations across the region are investing in talent management to ensure the right people are in the right roles and have the right skills to meet the needs of the business. This is particularly critical given the war for skilled talent in key areas such as IT, engineering, finance, retail, global manufacturing, energy and business services,” said Vincent Belliveau, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for Cornerstone OnDemand. “With this in mind, this year’s EMEA Convergence is focused on helping our clients make the most of their talent, ensuring they are engaged, performing at their optimum levels and driving the business forward.”

The annual EMEA Convergence conference connects over 300 learning, HR and talent management professionals from across Europe with top thought leaders and industry experts to discuss workforce trends and share people management strategies and technology best practices.

In the conference’s opening address, Cornerstone founder and CEO Adam Miller explored how mainstream adoption of cloud, social, and mobile technologies is transforming the way organisations engage, manage and develop their workforces, as well as how this is influencing Cornerstone’s software innovation. Miller also highlighted how clients such as Virgin Media are using technology to support their various learning, performance and talent management initiatives.

“Empowering our workforce is a crucial part of our business strategy,” said Mike Leavy, Learning Technology Lead at Virgin Media, which uses Cornerstone’s solutions for learning and development, performance management, succession planning and social networking. “Talent is one of the most important assets for organisations today, and those who do not support their staff are missing an important part of what makes a successful company. By putting this principle into practice, not only has it made a very real and positive impact on our business and profitability, but it has also assisted with retaining talent.”

Other Cornerstone clients speaking at the event include Air Liquide, PwC France and Western Union Business Solutions.

The agenda also features guest speaker Paul Miller, author of The Digital Workplace, who will further explore the role of technology in the workplace. An industry analyst and thought leader panel, moderated by Jason Corsello, Cornerstone’s Vice President of Marketing & Strategy, will discuss various learning and talent management trends and predictions for the coming year. Panelists include David Mallon, Vice President of Research for Bersin & Associates; Dr. John McGurk, CIPD’s adviser on learning and talent development; Ahmed Liman, an independent global HR technology consultant; Dr. Armin Trost, professor for human resource management at Furtwangen University Business School in Germany; and David Wilson, founder and Managing Director of Elearnity.
