Cornerstone OnDemand Spotlights Key Learning and Talent Management Trends at Learning Technologies 2010

Cornerstone’s EMEA General Manager and three premier clients to present on topics such as blended learning, social learning, mobile learning, online training and more

LONDON – 26 January 2010 – Cornerstone OnDemand Inc. (stand no. 68), the specialist in on-demand learning and talent management software and services, today announced that the company’s EMEA General Manager, Vincent Belliveau, is speaking at this week’s Learning Technologies 2010 conference (27-28 January) at Olympia 2, London.  Belliveau’s presentation, entitled “Key Learning and Talent Management Trends in 2010,” will examine topics such as blended learning, the emergence of social learning, the business benefits of integrating of learning and talent strategies and the increasing adoption of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.  The session is part of the Learning Skills Group seminar and is scheduled for Thursday, 28 January at 1:30 p.m. in Theatre 5. 

“Focus is shifting from recruiting new employees to maximising and retaining the people who are already in place,” said Belliveau.  “As a result, more organisations are taking advantage of blended learning strategies to address skill gaps and develop future leaders, including the use of social networks to foster informal learning and knowledge sharing.  When combined with solutions for performance and succession management, organisations are able to capture the right level and quality of information they need to identify and retain high performers, drive business results and stay competitive.”

In addition to Belliveau’s presentation, three of Cornerstone’s premier clients will share insight into their various learning strategies as part of Learning Technologies’ conference tracks and seminars.  Sessions include:

•   Barclays Capital, “Mobile Learning Part 1: Mobile Learning for Rapid Response,” Thursday, 28 January at 11:30 a.m. (Conference Track 1, Session 4)

•   Liverpool Victoria, “Case Study: The Re-Engineering of Learning,” Thursday 28 January 11 a.m. (Learning Technologies seminar, Theatre 2)

•   PricewaterhouseCoopers, “Building a Great Synchronous Learning Culture,” Thursday 28 January 11:30 a.m. (Conference Track 4, Session 4) 

“We wanted to reengineer our approach to learning at Liverpool Victoria,” said Krissie Billingham, Learning Operations Manager for Liverpool Victoria.  “Cornerstone’s SaaS-based learning management system and expert team allowed us to achieve this objective, enabling our people to take control of their development and allowing us to deliver the right learning interventions to the right team members – including mandatory training.”
