DSI’s extensive domain expertise and validated Oracle JD Edwards integrations lead Dubai Taxi Corporation to select industry-leading enterprise mobility platform for Oracle applications.
United Arab Emirates, Kansas City MO, – Nov, 20, 2012 – Data Systems International, Inc. (DSI), a global leader in enterprise mobility, announced today that Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), part of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai’s official public body, has selected dcLINK®, DSI’s flagship mobile application development platform, to improve inventory accuracy and reduce operational costs across its fleet of 3,500 vehicles. DTC will deploy DSI’s on-premise mobility applications for inventory and fixed asset management with a mix of handheld devices and fixed work stations for workers to track more than 34,000 parts per day from receipt to repair in real time.
dcLINK seamlessly integrates to any back-end system and features an integrated development environment (IDE) that accelerates the development and deployment of mobile applications by technical and non-technical personnel alike. Using these capabilities, DTC will expand its use of dcLINK to track the status and condition of fixed assets, ensuring more accurate and effective enterprise asset management.
“The seamless integration into Oracle JD Edwards ERP was a critical factor in our decision to select DSI and dcLINK,” said Eng. Mansoor Al Falasi, Director of Resources & Support Department in Dubai Taxi Corporation. “We looked at other vendors, but DSI’s ability to help transform the way we conduct business with their robust mobile application development platform and industry-proven business process applications was impressive.”
He added, “We quickly recognised that the utilisation of a single mobile platform and IDE allows us to quickly manage change, extend automation to other processes and even create new applications in other areas of the business, both on-premise and out in the field. DSI’s mobility solution enables us to be proactive in identifying other areas in our organisation, and potentially across RTA, where benefits could be achieved from effective automation. DSI’s mobile technology is scalable and future proofs our IT investment.”
Dubai Taxi Corporation chose DSI after a rigorous selection process, citing that DSI’s innovative mobility solution will provide real-time visibility into their organisation’s operations and help them adhere to regulatory compliance.
“The ability for our customers to show rapid ROI from DSI’s mobility solutions is a source of deep satisfaction in our organisation,” said Rakesh Harji, EMEA Vice President of Sales at DSI, “DSI has a proud 33-year history of understanding our customers’ needs and working with them to transform the way they conduct their businesses to meet the needs of the twenty-first century organisation.”
