London, UK, December 21st 2009 – TANDBERG, supplier and producer of telepresence, high-definition video conferencing and mobile video solutions, is working with Imotions to implement video conferencing among all 18 football clubs admitted to the Premier League in the Netherlands, as well as the umbrella organisation Eredivisie CV and governing body the KNVB. These parties need an efficient way of communicating without compromising personal contact, to augment existing forms. A total of 20 mobile medium-sized TANDBERG Profile 3000 MXP systems are being installed at all the clubs, the KNVB and Eredivisie CV to meet the need. Mutual communication will be promoted with these video conferencing systems, saving travel time and the travel expenses associated with physical meetings. TANDBERG’s partner Imotions is supplying the equipment and carrying out the installation and management, and will be on hand for technical support during meetings.


TANDBERG Profile 3000 MXP
A pilot scheme tested video conferencing with Eredivisie CV, the KNVB and several clubs: sc Heerenveen, Roda JC, AFC Ajax, FC Groningen and AZ. All the users rated the trial extremely positively. The technology and its application enable the football clubs and the governing bodies to work together and communicate faster, more efficiently and more securely. Because the public Internet is used, the Premier League clubs can also meet with external partners such as sponsors, municipalities and police, for example to discuss safety at matches.

Manager of Eredivisie CV, Frank Rutten said: “After a successful trial run together with the KNVB and a number of clubs, we concluded that this system would lead to an efficient form of communication, and particularly to a significant reduction in travelling time. Given the national dispersal of the 18 Premier League clubs, this is an excellent augmentation of our existing ways of consulting.”

This ensures that nothing will go wrong with the connections, and the users don’t need to be concerned about the technical aspects. Where necessary a ‘video butler’ will be on hand for technical support. Imotions also sets up the connections for meetings with external parties such as municipalities, police and the fire service.”
