Jasper Wireless to participate in panel session on profitable business models for embedded connectivity

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain – 16th Feb 2009 – Jasper Wireless will be speaking at the Embedded Mobile Seminar of the Mobile World Congress. The panel session is entitled ‘Market disruptors and new business concepts to expand the scope and scale of embedded mobile solutions’ and will take place on Wednesday 18th February, 16:00 – 16:50.

Cindy Patterson, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, will discuss the embedded mobile market. In particular, she will cover the successful ways in which companies have already embraced the embedded market, including the business models, customer support and operational/technical solutions being deployed to address this market opportunity.

Jasper Wireless’ Software-as-a-Service platform is designed to enable network operators to capitalise on the embedded mobile opportunity by enabling them to easily scale their connected devices business.  The embedded mobile market is very different from traditional voice services.  With the Jasper Wireless’ platform mobile operators can profitably meet the specific requirements of the enterprise by assuring device performance and automating operational processes.

Sympac, a division of Dutch mobile operator KPN, is one of Jasper Wireless’ partners, and has recently announced an international machine-to-machine (M2M) service for multinationals.

This is the first time that Mobile World Congress has hosted a seminar on the topic of embedded mobile. The seminar will showcase leading edge business models, concepts to drive economies of scale, innovative devices and M2M applications.

Cindy has 20 years of experience in the wireless industry. She has built and led the Enterprise Data direct and indirect sales channels at Verizon Wireless. Cindy is also responsible for deploying business applications at Fortune 1000, Global 500 and Federal Government customers in the United States.

Daniel Collins, CTO of Jasper Wireless spoke at Mobile World Congress last year on the topic of Cellular M2M – specifically the rapid expansion of this market.
