Endace Analysis Center Redefines the Monitoring Experience for High Speed Probe and Sensor Deployments
EAC-2000 software suite sets new standards in usability and scalability; combines intuitive enterprise-grade analytics with Wireshark, the most popular open source solution
Auckland, New Zealand and New York, NY – September 17, 2008 - Endace Limited (LSE/AIM: EDA, “the Company”), a world leader in network monitoring solutions, today announced a comprehensive and intuitive analytics application that seamlessly integrates with the Company’s high speed packet capture appliances. Faced with the increasing cost of managing multiple, and aging, network monitoring probes and applications, operators are looking to consolidate their monitoring infrastructure and upgrade their management interfaces. Built into the multi-function NinjaProbe, the Endace Analysis Center 2000 (EAC-2000) meets these challenges with an intuitive graphical user experience that supports drag-and-drop filtering of live and captured data, for ready and thorough analysis of all network traffic.
“In recent years, advances have been made in the power and usability of traffic sniffer applications,” said Stephen Gleave, VP Marketing for Endace. “Unfortunately, these offerings have never been extended into enterprise-grade solutions for the intuitive management of high speed, mission critical networks. Our NinjaProbe is being adopted at the heart of many consolidated monitoring infrastructures, and with the launch of EAC-2000, we are now providing the industry’s most complete, powerful and up to date network analysis solution.”
EAC-2000 Server resides onboard Endace’s NinjaProbe appliance, a high speed data capture and storage device that consolidates previously disparate monitoring probe capabilities into a single, multi-function platform. Capable of communicating with multiple Windows-based EAC-2000 Clients, the server provides metadata summaries of large captured files, for immediate graphical analysis of network traffic and activity. For deeper analysis, EAC-2000 provides complete or filtered packet captures directly to Wireshark, the open source protocol decoder and the industry’s most familiar network forensics application.
“This implementation ensures that multiple operators can benefit from real time traffic analysis capabilities while simultaneously filtering, selecting and fully dissecting captured data, in a familiar environment, in a fraction of the time to which they are accustomed,” Gleave added. “In a survey completed by Endace in which we interviewed CIOs and IT directors in large enterprises[1], 80% cited complexity, cost and performance as the biggest barriers to effective network monitoring. With our EAC-2000/NinjaProbe solution we are providing a real solution to these challenges.”
