IT services company completes acquisition and invests in new Romanian offices
As part of its rapid global expansion, Endava, has acquired a technology company in Romania and also enlarged its office operations in Bucharest. This major investment forms a key part of Endava’s international growth strategy, involving a significant local recruitment initiative and corporate acquisitions - across Romania and Moldova.
John Cotterell, Chief Executive, Endava said, “Our business success is leading to further expansion and investment in Romania and Moldova. The growth of our operations in these regions has reached a level where we needed a larger delivery centre in Bucharest. This region is perfect as it has the longest tradition and largest capacity for delivering IT projects in the country. Our new office and acquisition now give us the capacity to expand to over 320 people in Bucharest. This combined, with our other offices in Romania and Moldova, will enable us to increase to over 1600 people with further capacity committed in 2014. We welcome the team joining Endava, who will accelerate our presence in Bucharest”.
Endava’s new office, situated in a prime Bucharest location at the AFI Business Park, measures 2.420 square metres - spread across two floors. This office will cater for Endava’s planned expansion, with a local recruitment drive to increase staff to 320 people in 2013. Additional office space will enable expansion to over 600 people, in 2014. Bucharest was also chosen as it offers a large pool of IT specialists, with a wider exposure to a variety of advanced technologies.
The AFI Business Park’s target tenants are multinational and national software, IT, communication, financial and insurance companies. AFI Park Cotroceni is one of the best choices for companies in terms of location, accessibility; services provided by the mall, parking, vicinity to the university, and future expansion options.
Headquartered in London, with operations in Romania and Moldova, Endava’s fast growth and success are due this region’s unique capabilities. These include; close UK proximity, similar time zone, strong cultural affinity and a proven distributed agile delivery model — provided by a high quality, multilingual, talent pool.
Last year, Endava was named in the exclusive 2011 Global Services 100 list, which identifies the top 100 ITO-BPO service providers in the world. Endava was also identified as an Emerging IT Services Leader in Eastern Europe.
