Founded in 2000, e-Shelter, whose customers include financial service organisations, telecom operators and IT service providers offers specialized business services including leasing of data centre and Office Space, planning, development and operation of data centres and their technical infrastructures and security services.
“At the time we were considering how best to build out our new 800,000 sq ft facility near London, I attended Data Centre Europe. The presentations that I saw and the discussions that I subsequently had with presenters and attendees proved invaluable in shaping the design,” said Philip Lydford, chief executive of e-Shelter (UK) Ltd. “The result is that we obtained planning consent for an innovative data centre campus which is now well on the way to becoming a reality with the focus on sustainability.”
With extensive innovation in the programme, and the participation of companies across the EU, Data Centres Europe will sustain its reputation as the premier content driven event and focus this year on the Enterprise. The programme has been designed to tailor insight and information to commercial and technical decision making data centre professionals.
Reflecting the enterprise focus of the event, the conference will this year take place at the newly opened America Square Conference Centre in the City of London and will bring together enterprises, data centres and companies engaged in the data centre sector.
The programme also includes a unique and timely special carbon trading workshop designed to provide an executive overview of where legislation has reached in the EU, the implications, and what will be required in future.
DCE09 also plays host to the annual Awards ceremony for the sector, which is closely aligned to this year’s theme. As a result, awards will be given to Best Corporate Facility, Best Managed Services Data Centre, Best Colocation Facility, Best Risk Mitigation Service Provider, Best Data Centre Environmental Policy, Best Regional European Data Centre, Best pan-European Service Provider, Best Data Centre Consolidation Programme, Best New Entrant into the Data Centre Market and a special Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Centre Sector.
“We are delighted that yet another leading European data centre operator has chosen to support this year’s important anniversary event,” commented Nicola Hayes, vice president of BroadGroup. “With attendees joining the event from both the EU and internationally, DCE09 continues to sustain its reputation as the content leader in data centre events with proven high networking value. “
