London, UK – 16th December 2009: Despite the current recession, Evaxyx has won a series of new contracts in the past few months, further enhancing the company’s reputation as the premier provider of data management services.
These recent wins include the provision of strategic high-level advice to a leading insurance company through to critical on-site implementation at two major telecoms organisations.
“The pursuit of the single view through more effective data management continues to gather momentum. Organisations are realising that data can only mean information if that data is presented to the right place, at the right time and in the right way. And you can only do that if you have ALL the data structured in a meaningful and logical way,” said Evaxyx CEO Adam Prentis.
A good example of this is the work that Evaxyx is doing for the UK-based insurance company. A series of acquisitions has left it with the challenge of integrating various data systems to provide a single view. Evaxyx was called in at the earliest opportunity when the organisation realised that it didn’t have the expertise to develop a strategy to implement such a challenging programme. In this instance Evaxyx helped formulate the required business case and took the lead role in selecting a vendor to deliver the programme: “For this project, we have been positioned as trusted independent advisers,” added Prentis.
Indeed, Evaxyx is establishing itself as the de-facto data services consultancy in the financial services market; this was further demonstrated with a recent contract win to help a major investment bank to develop more effective business architecture to enable them to have a more agile approach to the market with faster product delivery.
In the case of the telecoms companies, Evaxyx has been asked to provide end-to-end services, from design and architecture through to on-site implementation,
enabling both organisations to reorganise their data estates to deliver improved business efficiency and increased customer satisfaction. In one instance, Evaxyx is also involved as a key adviser in what is reputed to be the largest data warehouse project in Europe.
“Recent research has shown that companies are taking different approaches to the recession. There are the ‘survivors’, the organisations who are prepared to see it through and hope to come out of the other end with their business still intact. And then there are the ‘drivers’, the companies who are using the opportunity to overhaul their corporate data to help fuel business growth, to ensure that they are in pole position to grab market share as the recession recedes. It’s the drivers who will win and we are delighted to be their partner of choice to make this happen,” said Prentis.
Other recent wins include a project with a major confectioner to establish consistent flows of data across different territories, and a major global integration project for one of the largest entertainment companies in the world.
“All these leading brands have recognised that their various islands of data can be turned into one holistic view that gives them the information they need to make the right decisions. It helps them to make those decisions based on reasonable certainly as opposed to sheer gut feel. And those brands are recognising that the only company to help them with this is Evaxyx,” said Prentis.
