Electronic Document Management System Designed Specifically for Accountancy Sector an Instant Success
London, 24th April 2009: Invu plc (“Invu” Ticker: INVU), the document management software provider, today announced that just one week after the launch of its first sector dedicated product, ‘Invu for Accountants’, the company has appointed its first accountancy accredited partner: Scan Worx, a specialist reseller in Electronic Document Management Solutions (EDM) for the accountancy sector. In addition, the first customer has been signed up via Scan Worx: SJD Accountancy, a chartered tax adviser and accountancy practice with offices across the UK.
Launched earlier this month, ‘Invu for Accountants’ was created in conjunction with IRIS, a leader in the accountancy software market, specifically for accountants and accountancy practices. The solution includes filing structures that will typically apply to an accountancy practice and a new integration with IRIS Practice Management. Invu’s document management solution for Accountants has also achieved product accreditation from the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales).
The new document management product for accountants is designed to help accountants improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, which is vital given that a recent YouGov survey found that chartered accountants in the UK are losing over £2 million per day in fees looking for documents. This proves that the valuable time lost trying to locate documents that have been mis-filed, moved to another location or simply lost is costing businesses dearly by reducing the number of billable hours. In addition, this inefficiency can impact on customer service, making it more difficult to retain clients.
Jon Milburn, Senior Consultant, Scan Worx notes: “It is a great honour to be the first accredited partner. We have been extremely active within the Accountancy sector since 2005 and have seen how many accountants have greatly benefited from using the Invu solution. The Scan Worx team is 100% dedicated to this market sector and have developed an in-depth knowledge of the real issues faced by accountants and how they can be managed by the Invu solution. With the uptake of the Invu solution in this sector up already by 50% this year, we are looking for a great year ahead.”
The CEO of Invu ,Colin Gallick, commented: “The accountancy market is very important to Invu and signing Scan Worx as the first partner for ‘Invu for Accountants’ in such a short time frame is a fantastic step in our initiative to strengthen our presence in the sector. Scan Worx has a deep knowledge of the specific requirements and key business drivers of this vertical sector, thanks to its years of experience, and represents the ideal partner to convey the benefits of ‘Invu for Accountants’ to the accountancy sector, which is vital to making it a success.”
Simon Dolan, Managing Director, SJD Accountancy comments: “Scan Worx demonstrated an in-depth understanding of what we, as accountants, required from a document management solution and to see them fronting the new ‘Invu for Accountants’ campaign has only helped to solidify our confidence in our choice of supplier. Scan Worx’s relationship as an IRIS Solution Partner was also central to our decision.”
Scan Worx is the first of a select few Invu partners that will receive Accountancy specialist status, according to their knowledge, experience and performance in their vertical sector. Invu will be working with these partners to develop a bespoke sales and marketing plan to support increased penetration in this market.
Invu has a long track record of enabling the accountancy sector to maintain best practice for document management, and presently has more than 500 customers across the sector using its EDM technology.
