Another Step in Company’s Strategic Direction to Focus on Core Competencies
GlassHouse Technologies, a global provider of vendor independent data center consulting and managed services, today announced the completion of the sale of its Turkey subsidiary. The subsidiary has been acquired by Emre Pekar, who has been serving as General Manager of GlassHouse Turkey prior to this transaction.
“We continue to aggressively execute on our stated plans to focus GlassHouse on our core consulting and managed service offerings and improving operating margins, and this divestiture is another significant step towards that objective,” said Patrick Scannell, President and CEO of GlassHouse Technologies. “It is exciting that Emre and the GlassHouse Turkey team will continue to serve our clients in that region, providing continuity for both our clients and our team members.”
For enterprise customers challenged by escalating data security threats, cost pressure and end-user demands on their IT environments, GlassHouse’s vendor independent objective expertise provides clarity amidst tremendous vendor hype for cloud, virtualisation and other infrastructure technologies.
GlassHouse continues to demonstrate solid growth, including expansion of its consulting and operational staff. Excluding the divested Israel and Turkey subsidiaries, year-to-date GlassHouse has added staff representing 12% of worldwide headcount, with an additional 13% planned second quarter hires.
