Hotmail Plus users get 10GB of storage

MSN has moved to placate paid subscribers to its Windows Live Hotmail Plus service after announcing that standard Hotmail users are to be granted up to five gigabytes of storage.

Subscribers to Windows Live Hotmail Plus have been paying MSN AU$37.95 per year to gain access to double the e-mail storage of free Hotmail users -- which until now was 4GB.
In May of this year, MSN announced that the storage capacity for regular Hotmail users would be extended from 1GB to 2GB, and in doing so increased the capacity of paid subscribers from 2GB to 4GB.
A spokesperson for MSN told ZDNet Australia today that premium subscribers will now have their storage capacity extended from 4GB to 10GB, in order to remain at double the capacity of regular users.
Premium subscribers will continue to pay AU$37.95 per year, the spokesperson said.
By comparison, Yahoo offers its Web-based e-mail subscribers unlimited storage, Google's GMail offers just over 2GB and Apple offers .Mac users 10GB.Continue At Source
