showcases 100Mbps LTE application in China
[Beijing, China, 29 Oct, 2007] Huawei Technologies ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced that it has showcased its 100Mbps Long Term Evolution (“LTE”) application at PT/Expo Comm China 2007 by demonstrating multiplex HDTV services and mutual gaming with a transmission speed of 100 Mbps.
Huawei’s LTE applications, which are based on the Next Generation multi-standard base station platform, can help operators achieve the smooth evolution from GSM/HSPA/HSPA+ to LTE. By using Huawei’s multi-standard architecture and high compositive rate operators can then flexibly deploy networks to meet different customers’ demands. The solutions all adopt IP technology, which can help operators launch interoperable services and double their network capacity.
Huawei recently joined the Long Term Evolution / System Architecture Evolution (LTE / SAE) Trial Initiative (LSTI ) because of its expertise in the global High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) and LTE fields, and is active in supporting ITE trials with the top-tier operators around the world. Huawei plans to provide LTE commercial products, based on multi-standard base stations in 2009.
