MAXELL release a bold new design for their range of batteries.
Maxell, leading manufacturers of Batteries, Storage Media and Accessories, have issued an eye-catching new design for their range of batteries. This new look is set to raise the interest in batteries and enhance sales, and is due to launch across Europe by Christmas 2007.
With batteries known as the ‘ultimate impulse line’, this new design with the larger brand name and bold colours is anticipated to further Maxell’s reliable reputation as battery specialists.
With five different main chemistries of batteries in the range; Alkaline (blue), Super Alkaline (gold), Zinc (red), and Rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) (green) batteries as well as coin and button batteries for watches etc, (available in sizes ranging from AA, AAA, C and D). Maxell are one of the few major Battery manufacturers to offer a complete range of products, making them the ‘one stop shop’ for batteries. Maxell are also the world’s number one supplier of coin and button batteries, a fact which they continue to put emphasis on in their new packaging. The new design is clean and simple with bold colours indicating each product in the range and offers a consistent and a recognisable theme throughout the entire range. All the batteries in the Maxell portfolio have a family feel to them, so there is a great opportunity to cross sell across the whole battery range and allows the trader to “trade up”.
Information is now clearer on the fronts and the backs of the new range of products. The front of the packs have information in the form of “usage icons”, this is vital information for a consumer making a purchasing decision in moments. The icons are repeated on the back of the pack, and by using icons rather than text, Maxell eliminate the difficulty of having many languages cluttering up the pack, allowing the information to be easier to understand and making the range suitable for Maxell’s European consumers. Icons are also used to indicate the kinds of objects that the types of batteries would be suitable for, making buying batteries easier than ever before.
Batteries were Maxell’s first ever product and the manufacturing began in 1961, with Maxell’s name deriving from the phrase ‘MAXimum dry capacity cELL’.
