...PCTs and National Foundation Trusts to now benefit from bespoke learning software systems…
Tuesday 27th October 2009 - ikonami Ltd, a leading provider of bespoke learning software systems for Government, Independent Healthcare and National Health Service (NHS) organisations, today announced that nine NHS Trusts have signed up as new customers of the company’s AT-Learning® learning management system (LMS). These new contracts, which were awarded before the end of the third quarter of 2009, confirm AT-Learning®‘s status as one of the most popular and robust learning management systems among UK healthcare organisations.
NHS Trusts operate in a cash-constrained, efficiency-orientated and compliance-driven environment, at a time of changing demographics, economic and healthcare needs. A learning solution that is easy to use, with carefully considered functionality and flexible, accurate and timely reporting capabilities, can help to support organisational compliance, service provision and efficiency. Customer feedback indicates that NHS Trusts select AT-Learning® because it offers such a robust and comprehensive learning platform and because of its links to the NHS’ Electronic Knowledge and Skills Framework (e-KSF).
AT-Learning™ is the only LMS that is fully integrated with the e-KSF, which is widely used for performance reviews, career development and workforce planning in the NHS.
The eleven NHS Trusts which have awarded new contracts to ikonami for the use of
AT-Learning® are:
1. Northamptonshire NHS – Provider Services
2. NHS Southwark
3. Solihull NHS Care Trust
4. Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals. NHS Foundation Trust.
5. Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust
6. Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
7. Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust
8. Sandwell Mental Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust
9. NHS Shetland
AT-Learning® was designed using real world processes within NHS organisations to meet the specific needs of healthcare providers and uses healthcare-specific terminology and vocabulary to increase familiarity and ease of use. The LMS has been developed to automate and streamline the administration and management of learning & development, reducing the administrative burden on HR teams and leading to a lower total cost of ownership. Customers also benefit because AT-Learning® is updated on a regular basis. The opinions of a network of corporate users inform the software upgrade path and because it is web-based, ikonami is able to introduce new functionality very quickly to meet new NHS reporting or learning requirements.
Kubair Shirazee, Chief Executive Officer of ikonami commented: "ikonami’s commitment to the NHS continues to create confidence, both at Executive level and throughout our customers’ organisations. They appreciate that we focus on the specific needs of healthcare organisations so our learning management solutions deliver operational and financial benefits. Indeed, AT-Learning® helps organisations to generate a return on investment by helping to reduce costs, and create visibility and accountability for compliance and improved patient care. We are delighted to welcome these NHS Trusts into the AT-Learning® user community and look forward to meeting their learning management needs for many years to come."
