...ILX Group Launches Enhanced ‘Train For Change’ Initiative: Tried And Tested Retraining For Employees Facing Redundancy...
...Initiative provides rapid, accessible and affordable PRINCE2 and ITIL training from one of the UK’s leading Accredited Training and Consulting Organisations...
Tuesday 24 February 2009 - ILX Group plc, the best practice training specialist, today announced that it has launched an enhanced version of its popular Train for Change programme in response to worsening economic conditions in the UK. The course enables employers to provide flexible and accessible PRINCE2 and ITIL retraining opportunities to staff facing redundancy.
The ILX Train for Change initiative is designed to rapidly equip employees with the project and IT service management skills and qualifications necessary to find other positions, either within or outside their current organisation. PRINCE2 and ITIL are the most sought after project and IT service management training products available on the market. As an illustration of this, approximately 60% of all project management jobs in the UK now require PRINCE2 qualifications.
Tamar Hughes, Learning and Development Business Partner, Pearl Group, said: “We recently signed up for the ILX Train for Change initiative as we wanted to support our employees to retrain or brush up on existing skills in programme, project and IT services management. The beauty of Train for Change is that the interactive courses enable our employees to study for a well recognised qualification at their own pace and at a time convenient to them. The courses have already proven to be very successful with our employees.”
The Train for Change initiative can be fully customised to meet company and individual requirements. The fully accredited courses are available online through ILX’s hosted portal, which is not only cost effective but allows ILX to be flexible on delegate numbers.
Eddie Kilkelly, Managing Director, Best Practice Division, ILX Group plc, said: “Great project and programme managers will always be in demand and that is why we have reintroduced Train for Change into our portfolio of products and services. It is a rapid and effective method for employers to equip employees with the skills and qualifications necessary to become effective programme, project or IT service managers – whether they have previous experience or not. As we have offered this type of retraining initiative before, we have valuable insight into exactly what employers are looking for in this situation. As a result, our new Train for Change programme is not only of the quality you’d expect from ILX, but is even more flexible, accessible, controllable and cost effective.”
