London, 24 November 2009 - Fujitsu was among the select group of companies that Forrester invited to participate in its recent independent report, “The Forrester Wave™: Oracle Services Providers, Q4 2009”, Forrester Research, Inc., October 2009. In this evaluation, Fujitsu was cited as a Strong Performer in providing Oracle® Services. The report evaluated leading Oracle services providers and measured them using a comprehensive set of 60 evaluation criteria based around industry expertise, functional and geographic breadth, and range of services across applications.

Forrester noted that  “many services buyers seek an implementation provider that can support their needs long term and therefore need strong maintenance and support as well as hosting capabilities related to Oracle. Leaders in this market include … Fujitsu.” As a result Fujitsu is able to offer its clients "the benefits of smoother transition and more effective knowledge transfer between implementation and operational phases - and potentially cost savings for the client as well." Forrester also noted that Fujitsu has a strong mix of standalone implementation work as well.

Fujitsu is a global Oracle service provider with numerous accreditations including Oracle Global Partner and Oracle Certified Advantage Partner/Oracle Platinum Partner. Fujitsu offers a wide portfolio of professional and managed global Oracle services and has approximately 2,300 Oracle professionals worldwide. Furthermore, the Fujitsu FlexFrame® for Oracle solution dynamically allocates server and storage resources in Oracle environments enabling organizations to include these in their Dynamic Infrastructures.

Andy Seferta, head of European Oracle Practice for Fujitsu UK and Ireland, comments, "Fujitsu has worked hard to develop strong managed service and shared service offerings for Oracle. Strategically, it is in these areas where Fujitsu will increase its presence and where we will develop market differentiation."

As well as organic growth Fujitsu has made several acquisitions which have supported its Oracle business. Specifically Forrester referenced the acquisitions of BORN Information Services, Greenbrier & Russel, and Rapidigm as being of particular strategic importance.

Seferta concludes, "Our global focus and acquisitions - including the integration of Fujitsu Siemens - reinforces Fujitsu as a global Oracle system integrator across Oracle applications, technologies, and infrastructure. Fujitsu's position as Strong Performer in this report comes as welcome recognition of the improvement we have made in this sector."
