Slough, United Kingdom, 1st October 2007 – Ingres Corporation, the leading open source information management company for enterprise applications, today announced the acquisition of two systems integrators with proven track records in developing and delivering superior enterprise software applications, service, and support to customers in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand: Luminary Solutions Ltd, based in Leeds, England; and MIS (Management Information Systems) based in Perth, Australia.

The Luminary team, based in Leeds, UK, specialises in integrating back office IT systems, building BI solutions, and developing custom applications. It also provides customised support and maintenance onsite and offsite.
Luminary has designed, built, integrated and enhanced Ingres systems and packaged applications for customers such as the Office of the Revenue Commissioners (Ireland), responsible for administering government-imposed taxes in the Republic of Ireland; and Indesit Company, a major international manufacturer and supplier of kitchen appliances based in Italy.

Management Information Systems – A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Ingres Australia Pty Ltd The acquisition of MIS comes just 14 months after Ingres established offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Ingres Australia has grown to more than 32 employees, further solidifying the company’s strong position in the South Pacific region. Based in Perth, MIS is well known for providing Open Source expertise in implementation and development of enterprise resource planning, HR, payroll and asset management on Ingres technologies. Customers include Western Australia Department of Education; the Department for Community Development in Western Australia; Fremantle Ports, Western Australia’s largest port operator; and JWH Group, a Western Australia residential builder.
