 Intel is spreading e-learning in Africa - Global Union

Intel, in collaboration with other corporations, is putting in place a programme which aims at developing mobile e-learning in Africa. The initiative is based on Intel’s platform Definition Centre “a complete solution with integrated software and hardware that delivers an end-to-end solution for education involving students, parents, teachers and schools in a student-friendly form that will enhance learning with minimal IT infrastructure and at an affordable price” reported the newspaper This Day. The most important features of the programme are the possibilities for the teacher to assemble and take control of a wireless virtual classroom and the fact that the units are unusable out of the network environment to prevent any abuse.
