Intercept appoints new General Manager to drive extraordinary growth
Will Brooks has been appointed the new General Manager of the combined operation of virtualisation solution specialist Intercept following its recent acquisition of ADS Portal.
Will is an experienced senior manager, with a strong background in virtualisation, and is well known in the industry. Reporting directly to Ian Readman, Chief Executive, and the company’s board of directors, he will play a crucial part in the continued growth of the business.
“It’s an exciting time in Intercept’s development,” said Brooks. “Intercept has seen some extraordinary growth as companies look to virtualisation to save costs and improve user performance. Our heritage is in optimising data centre operations, and now with the recent purchase of ADS-Portal Limited, we can bring these benefits to smaller organisations through our outsourced subscription computing offering from our own optimised data centres. I’m looking forward to strengthening Intercepts leadership in infrastructure virtualtion, software-as-a-service, and unified communications technologies”
Prior to joining Intercept, Will spent nine years at IQ-Sys where he was General Manager and Director of Sales. During his time there he developed the business to become an award-winning specialist solutions provider, distributing quality Application Access Infrastructure, Virtualisation, Network Management and IT Security solutions to the UK channel. He helped shape IQ-Sys to become a £26m business in only nine years, and to become the UK’s number one Citrix partner.
Ian Readman, CEO of Intercept, said “This appointment is critical to our plans both in terms of growth and in company profile. Our progress has been good and we now want to drive ahead with our plans to expand the services we offer to new and existing clients. Will is instrumental in achieving this and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
