Interxion, a leading European operator of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced its sponsorship of the upcoming RIPE 59 Meeting, a five-day event where Internet Service Providers, network operators and other interested parties from Europe and beyond discuss policies, procedures and the latest issues and challenges facing the Internet. Representatives from over 300 global networks, many of whom are Interxion customers, will attend to discuss network issues, security, and Internet policy. The event will take place in Lisbon, at the Corinthia Hotel from 5th to 9th October.

At present, 15 of Europe’s leading Internet exchanges have a presence in Interxion’s carrier-neutral data centres. Over 500 carriers and ISPs terminate their traffic with Interxion, creating a network-rich environment with excellent peering opportunities.
