August 12, 2009 - Kodak announces today the introduction of the new i1200 Plus and i1300 Plus Series Scanners with up to 50 percent speed increase over their predecessor models. With no additional cost to its customers, the KODAK i1200 Plus and i1300 Plus Series Scanners will improve document capture productivity for departmental and workgroup scanning.
The KODAK i1200 Plus Series Scanners will boast impressive speeds of up to 45 pages per minute (ppm) compared to 30ppm of previous models. The KODAK i1300 Plus Series Scanners also feature an improvement of scanning speed for colour at 200 dpi to 40 ppm - a 33 percent increase.
And they’re built to take it. The aluminium paper pass means reliability is second to none - perfect given the range of documents you can scan. From business and ID cards to documents 863mm (34 inches) long, practically anything can be digitised at the push of a button.
“We continue to provide all customers with affordable and state-of-the-art document scanners, supporting businesses with the means to reduce costs, improve productivity and reduce risk,” said Hauke Fast, EAMER Product Manager, Document Imaging, Business Solutions and Services, Kodak. “Better still, Kodak provides the new “Plus” firmware as a free download to customers for their existing i1200 and i1300 Series Scanners. This is the first time that a scanner vendor has offered speed improvements on an existing scanner platform to all customers free of charge.”
The KODAK i1200 Plus and i1300 Plus Series Scanners feature Smart Touch, an application designed to easily send documents to a variety of destinations, such as e-mail, file, network drives, output devices, various third party applications as well as Microsoft SharePoint with the press of a single button.
Ideal for use in general office, insurance and banking environments where performance and reliability count, yet where space is at a premium, the ergonomically designed Kodak i1200 Plus and i1300 Plus scanners have a unique tilt-and-scan design which allows users to choose the best physical position based on their scanning needs. Plus both scanner series allow optional A3 or A4 flatbed scanners to be attached using a 2 metre USB lead to cater for odd sized jobs when they arise.
Both product ranges come with 3 years Advance Unit Replacement warranty in selected European countries with scanner hotline support available in multiple languages.
