- Enterprise Project Management software aims to boost resource efficiency -
20 August 2009: - Corporate Project Solutions, one of the UK’s leading project implementation specialists, has been appointed by Leicestershire County Council (LCC) to roll out the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management 2007 toolset after a competitive tender process. The Leicestershire Council IT department has a requirement to implement a tailored, structured system of processes and technology to facilitate pipeline management, timesheets for progress collection and resource management.
Leicestershire County Council needed a system that was capable of providing as much information and insight as possible regarding the Council’s resources to ensure optimum utilisation and efficiency throughout the organisation. By gaining better visibility of resource deployment, Leicestershire County Council will now be able to carry out accurate forecasting, scheduling, modelling and reporting.
Louise Russell, Project Manager at Leicestershire County Council comments: “CPS are acknowledged Microsoft EPM experts with extensive experience working with Local and Central Government organisations. The CPS team have worked closely with us to fully understand our business needs, and have presented a solution that will enable us to achieve our aims.”
Adrian Shaw, Lead Consultant at Corporate Project Solutions explains: “Our aim is to provide LCC with a complete end-to-end solution that starts with a pilot and runs through to full training of staff in both the implemented technology and the surrounding processes. As pressure increases on County Councils to perform with trimmed down resources the need to streamline and improve efficiency has moved up the agenda. The Microsoft EPM solution will help LCC significantly improve performance and make the most of its key resources.”
The Microsoft EPM implementation will be flexible and scalable to adapt to the Council’s future changing requirements.
