Former Veritas Software CEO brings entrepreneurship and IT industry experience to Wall Street Systems

London and New York, 6 May 2008 – Wall Street Systems (Wallstreet), the global provider of treasury, trading and settlement solutions and services, today announced that Mark Leslie has joined its board as a non-executive director. Leslie’s entrepreneurial spirit and deep knowledge of the IT industry will be invaluable to Wall Street Systems as it grows and builds on its leadership position.  Furthermore, Leslie will serve as chairman of the Wall Street Systems Executive Committee.

Leslie was the founding chairman and chief executive officer of Veritas Software. During his 11 year tenure as CEO, the company went from 12 employees to 5,500, deployed globally, and from a revenue base of US$95,000 per year to US$1.5 billion per year. In 2000, Veritas achieved the distinction of becoming a Fortune 1000 company.

He is currently managing director of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company.   He also serves on the boards of Network Appliance (NSDAQ: NTAP) and a number of privately held high-technology corporations. In addition Leslie is on the board of Overseers for the New York University Faculty of Arts and Sciences and is the Chairman of the New York University Science Advisory Board.

Leslie is also currently a Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship and sales organization.

At Wall Street Systems, Leslie will take an active role in working with the executive management team to develop the company’s long term growth strategy, and will advise on commercial tactics.  “I’m looking forward to putting my experience of building successful high-tech businesses to good use in my new role at Wall Street Systems,” said Mark Leslie, new non-executive board member and chairman of the Executive Committee. “It’s a dynamic company with great prospects ahead of it, as it extends its market leadership.”

Joel Mandelbaum, president and chief executive officer, Wall Street Systems, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark Leslie to the company and also to the executive committee. The foundations are in place for Wall Street Systems to grow, and Mark’s experience of leading a company through expansion, his commitment to working closely with the management team, and his drive for excellence will be of great importance to us at this time.

Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University and completed Harvard Business Schools’ program for management development in 1980.
