As a recognised industry leader, Sigma Systems (
www.sigma-systems.com) has been enlisted by Cable Congress and TM Forum to examine interactive advertising, its ability to influence consumer buying decisions as well as capture new sources of revenue for service providers around the world, at this week’s Cable Congress conference in Madrid.
What:
Tim Spencer, President and COO, addresses interactive advertising in partnership with advertising, financial and cable experts from both sides of the Atlantic, including executives from TM Forum, Sea Change, Broadband Consulting Partners, Liberty Global and EuroCableLabs. The panel is being moderated by Martin Creaner, President and Chief Technology Officer, TM Forum. The presentation will cover:
-Opportunities and challenges for interactive advertising;
-Digital TV’s potential to change the traditional advertising model;
-Intelligent and targeted ways of reaching audiences to influence buying decisions;
-New sources of revenue that interactive TV advertising presents for service providers around the world;
-Differences and similarities between the US and European interactive advertising markets; and,
-The opportunity for interactive advertising in Europe and a discussion as to whether this geographic area will embrace this new business opportunity, and if so, how.
Who:
Tim Spencer, co-founder of Sigma Systems, has over 20 years experience in telecommunications software design and development. As President and COO, he is responsible for leveraging the existing product and customer base while driving new growth strategies in the communications software market. In his previous role as Sigma’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Spencer helped turn the company’s early technology vision into reality and along the way transformed Sigma into the leading provider of OSS IP service fulfilment products and services. Prior to joining Sigma, Mr. Spencer held various senior positions with Bell Canada. He was Director of Software Engineering for advanced services at Bell Mobility, where he was responsible for the design and development of real-time OSS solutions such as message processing, service activation and fulfilment, inventory and network management. Mr. Spencer also led several international OSS consulting projects for Bell Canada International in Central and Latin America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and software design from DeVry University.
