Enabling fixed and wireless networks for broadband media services

LONDON, United Kingdom – 17 June 2008 – Neil Holloway, the Vice President of Business Strategy at Microsoft International will be interviewed by CNN business journalist Adrian Finighan live on stage at the second annual Broadband Connect Summit taking place at the Courthouse Hotel Kempinski in London on 30 June 2008.

Neil Holloway of Microsoft is leading several business strategies for Microsoft focussed on growth and customer experience. Microsoft is aiming to bring new television experiences to the living room with its Mediaroom platform as used by BT Vision.

He will face tough questions from CNN presenter Adrian Finighan. The international anchor and correspondent is based at the European headquarters of CNN and presents ‘Business International’ and ‘World News’ from London.

“We have incorporated this one to one interview format in response to audience demand,” said Joseph de Villiers, the Managing Director of Technosummits, which is hosting the event. “Conference delegates tell us they are bored of endless presentations. This interview format is part of our unique approach to asking hard questions and promoting genuine debate.”

Dr William Cooper, the founder and Chief Executive of consultancy informitv, commented: “I am delighted as the chair of this summit to have Neil Holloway and Adrian Finighan taking part as our special guest and interviewer. This will provide an engaging contribution to the conversation about the role of next generation fixed and mobile networks in delivering broadband media services to the consumer.”

The Broadband Connect Summit is one of the premier events in the broadband sector bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders from technology and media companies to examine and discuss the key issues they are facing.

Microsoft will be taking part in the summit along with senior executives from IBM, BT, Virgin Media, BBC Worldwide, Disney and other industry leaders.
