New hire to manage rapid business growth of second generation email SaaS provider

London – February 25th , 2010 – Mimecast®, a unified email management company offering SaaS-based email security continuity, archiving, and policy control, today announced the appointment of Jonathan Gale as Senior Vice President of Product Management. At Mimecast Gale will oversee the global product roadmap and will be integral in building Mimecast’s position as a leading unified email management provider and driving rapid business growth.

Gale joins Mimecast from MessageLabs where he spent eight years working in senior management positions. Gale was pivotal in establishing MessageLabs sales success first in EMEA and then globally.  He was intimately involved in signing the biggest MessageLabs customers and then transformed and expanded their product offering in the years immediately before the Symantec acquisition.

Gale brings a wealth of experience to Mimecast with over 15 years in the industry. Prior to his time at MessageLabs, Gale led business development for BT Consulting, and also worked for Touchbase Communications, a highly successful globally distributed technology VAR.
