South-African IT services provider transforms business and improves efficiency using automation platform

ST HELIER, JERSEY – 22 July 2009: Kaseya® (www.kaseya.co.za), the leading global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and corporate organisations, today announced that Network IT has adopted the Kaseya IT automation platform to grow its managed services business. Network IT is using the platform to cost-effectively manage all client IT systems from a single interface, which is enabling the company to support an extra 125 users per month without increasing headcount. 

The Kaseya IT automation platform allows Network IT to proactively monitor, manage and support all client IT infrastructures remotely and simultaneously, through an integrated, web-based interface. The Johannesburg-based company is using the platform to support over 500 workstations across its SME and enterprise customer base.

The centralised, automated approach to IT services has also enabled Network IT to create a further stream of income, as it can package a remote managed service solution to customers, in addition to desk-side support options.

Using the IT automation platform, Network IT schedules key tasks and administrative duties such as patch management and network backup to take place automatically across all client machines, while constant monitoring of all customer systems will alert Network IT to potential issues, via the central interface, before they pose a problem . These automation capabilities have allowed Network IT to eliminate a four hour turnaround time for resolution, as engineers can immediately address any issues.

In addition, Kaseya’s IT automation platform is enabling Network IT to address 70-80% of tickets remotely, virtually removing the need for engineers to drive to client sites in order to solve unforeseen issues. Using this capability, Network IT can now ensure the most experienced – and expensive - engineers are used for critical elements of their service delivery, or are reassigned to high value project work.
