Interxion, a leading European operator of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced an agreement with Nunet AG, a leading provider of media solutions for mobile network operators, cable network operators and DSL providers to host another online video shop at Interxion’s Dusseldorf data centre. The service allows customers to access more than 4,000 videos with a video-ready mobile phone or PC.
Nunet relies on Interxion’s high-performance infrastructure to provide its innovative online services. A 2N UPS configuration, redundant cooling and state-of the-art monitoring and alarm systems guarantee maximum security and power availability.
The data centre also provides connections to multiple fibre optic networks and gives direct access to more than 50 carriers and ISPs and the ECIX Internet Exchange.
“Interxion provides us with the levels of connectivity we need to guarantee that our customers’ content is instantly available,” said Patrick Uckermark, Nunet Head of Operations. “Their state-of-the-art data centre infrastructure also provides us with the high-density configurations we need to run our applications as efficiently as possible, along with the ability to scale on demand.”
“Nunet is a leader in a highly innovative, high-growth segment that has very specific data centre requirements,” said Peter Knapp, Managing Director, Interxion Germany. “In order to be the provider of choice for firms like Nunet, we provide a scalable service that meets the strictest security and availability standards and supports the latest high-density power configurations.”
