New single and multi-function devices enable OKI Europe to provide a reliable, affordable solution to meet every SMB need
Egham, UK, 30 April 2012 – OKI Europe has launched a range of new products designed to meet the particular needs of the growing micro-business sector. With the addition of the new products, including colour and mono single function (SFP) and mono multi-function (MFP) devices, OKI now has a solution to meet the precise needs of all small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).
This major development is a critical element in OKI’s mid-term plan to double unit printer sales in EMEA, as it creates the opportunity to significantly increase the company’s footprint in an important part of the SMB market.
The new products are specifically designed to help micro businesses to print smarter by doing more with less. They provide the flexibility to meet their business objectives by printing what they need when they need it – by printing in-house. “The micro-business sector, defined as those businesses employing ten employees or less, plays a key role in the European economy,” confirms Terry Laidlaw, OKI Europe’s Managing Director.
“According to the latest analysis by the European Commission (Eurostat 2011), more than nine out of ten businesses in the EU are micro-enterprises and they employ nearly 30 per cent of the region’s workforce.”
Full business functionality
The new desktop products offer broad and cost-effective B2B functionality, including network capability, PCL compliance and duplex printing, enabling even the smallest businesses to compete more effectively with their larger competitors. The extended OKI range includes:
Colour single function (SFP)
The addition of two new A4 products, the C301dn and the C321dn, completes OKI’s colour SFP range, which now covers all customer needs, from home office to departmental and where the key purchasing criteria is low acquisition cost.
The C301dn and C321dn offer a compact footprint and are ideally designed for micro to small office environments where space is at a premium. They also allow the user to bring more print tasks in-house, by providing professional quality on a wide range of different media, ranging from business cards, DVD/CD covers and promotional banners to brochures and booklets.
The C822 completes OKI’s A3 colour SFP range, covering the needs of micro-businesses requiring high quality A3 colour output with a low upfront acquisition cost and the ability to print their day-to-day business documents as well as promotional customer-facing materials in-house.
“We have designed the new products around the micro-business user’s need to both save on print costs and present a professional image to the marketplace,” says Laidlaw. “With a small number of users, print speeds are less important than low upfront acquisition costs, reliability and flexibility.”
Mono multi-function (MFP)
The new MB441, MB451 and MB451w join OKI’s range of successful mono MFPs. They are designed to offer the cost and space-saving benefits of combining print/fax/copy/scan capability within a single compact device to the smallest business user without compromising on quality.
The new products extend OKI’s range of A4 Mono desktop MFPs offering greatly-enhanced performance and outstanding software utilities, eco functions and standard features including an RADF-enabling scan, copy and fax of two-sided documents, reducing costs and energy consumption.
Mono SFP
The B401d/dn adds to the existing products in the OKI portfolio of A4 mono SFPs, meeting the requirement for full business functionality combined with low acquisition cost. As a result, they are the perfect products for the micro-business.
Greener products to save money
All the new OKI products targeted at micro-business users offer improved environmental performance through reduced power consumption with Auto-Off mode, saving on energy costs.
The products automatically shut down when the device has not been in use for a certain duration. Reducing energy consumption to less than 0.5W
“Our new products allow the micro-business user to bring more printing in-house, saving time and money,” says Laidlaw. “At the same time, each model comes with a three-year warranty, giving the user peace of mind that it will be fully reliable and support them to concentrate on their core business.”
