Powerful semantic search technology recognized as major advance for communications industry

London, UK & Dublin, Ireland – May 22, 2012: Today, at TM Forum’s Management World, Ontology Systems (www.ontology.com), the semantic-search provider for enterprise data alignment, announced their state-of-the-art semantic search technology, Ontology 3, last night took the inaugural Pipeline Innovation Award for technical innovations.

Over 70 companies were originally nominated this year, and Ontology was amongst a select group of finalists shortlisted and presented to Pipeline’s exclusive industry judging panel for final voting. The 2012 Innovation Award judging panel itself is an esteemed consortium comprised of key executives from leading service providers around the world such as AT&T, BT, Cox, Intelsat, TELUS, Turkcell, and Yota, as well as influential industry analysts. The panel based their decision on a wide range of criteria including Pipeline’s independent research.

The technical innovations category, in which Ontology emerged as the winner and included some of the smartest and most recent technical advancements in the industry, recognises the most innovative new product, release, or feature in use in communications technology.
