London, 3 July, 2012 - PageOne Communications, the UK’s leading provider of mobile messaging solutions to the public and enterprise sectors, today announces it has been awarded by Government Procurement Service a PSN Services framework agreement.
The PSN is the foundation of the Government’s IT strategy and aims to provide a single logical network and marketplace for public sector communications. This enables public service providers to operate, share and deliver information and services across traditional departmental and regional boundaries, in more cost-effective and innovative ways. PageOne has been awarded a PSN Services framework agreement for Paging Services to support this.
Chris Jones, CEO of PageOne commented, “After a rigorous and comprehensive tender process we are delighted that PageOne’s pedigree, together with the security and resilience of our messaging services have been recognised by Government Procurement Service. The public sector is under intense pressure to improve services while cutting costs and with new services, such as 2-way paging and paging to Smartphones, we look forward to continuing to assist them in achieving this goal.
PSN-compliant systems and services, including those provided by PageOne, are already in use in local and central government and produced confirmed savings of £64.2 million in 2011/12.
