Intelligent messaging platform’s new feature to unlock richness and unique publishing capabilities of Diffusion for organisations running Java or .Net based applications
20th June 2012 – Push Technology, an innovative technology and solutions specialist that focuses on pushing data beyond the edge, today unveiled a remote control capability for its market-leading platform, Diffusion.
Representing the next phase in the development of Diffusion, the new feature will enable engineers to exploit Diffusion’s publisher capabilities whilst remaining external to the Diffusion server. Designed for Java or .NET based applications, it will allow organisations to benefit from the rich capabilities of Diffusion without needing to reinvest in new application development or programming capabilities.
“Diffusion Remote Control is another industry first from Push Technology that allows segregation of an organisation’s own enterprise logic from a Diffusion platform, whilst enabling those applications to adaptively control the data model, manage the topic space, authentication, connections, qualities of service and subscriptions within the Diffusion Server,” explained Darach Ennis, Head of Innovation and R&D at Push Technology.
“This feature allows, as an example, one of our clients to apply service orientation principles to streaming data distribution. It is used by others to partition working sets, enabling operations to react to changing business needs proactively, by allowing streaming data services to be migrated independent of the distribution clients and partners release cycles, without loss of service. Diffusion Remote Control isn't about technology. It's about getting smart about the business of data distribution."
“This new feature protects legacy investments, reduces the total cost of ownership and creates greater ease of use and integration for our clients,” added Sean Bowen, CEO at Push Technology. ”We are delighted to introduce another industry first, as we continue to build on the success of our market leading platform, Diffusion.”
The latest feature for Diffusion strengthens Push Technology’s leadership in smart data distribution and its global foothold in financial services and social gaming. It also comes as Push Technology opens its US-based operations, headquartered in New York and welcomes Oracle’s Tony DeMaria as VP North American Sales and high performance software guru Martin Thompson as an advisor to the business.
